Grand auditorium body guitars, while being the same dimensions as a dreadnought acoustic, have a tighter waist which generally produces slightly less volume, and a more even balance tonally, rather than being more "bass pronounced" as compared to a traditional dreadnought body style.

The B-Band Alvarez SYS650 is a dual pickup preamp system.  The patented electret under-saddle pickup yields a tone that is more "acoustic" than the typical Piezo pickup, and when blended with the soundboard transducer, excellent reproduction of the guitar's "voice" is achieved.  Either pickup can be used independently, or blended together.  This system also features a backlit LCD display, fully chromatic precision built-in tuner, 3-band rotary EQ and a notch filter to handle nasty feedback issues.
 

If you live in an area of the country that has extreme cold/dry or hot/dry temperatures, consider purchasing a humidifier such as the Kyser model shown at the right.  This will provide important moisture during low humidity times when damage can result from lack of moisture.
