Seldom do quality, sound and playability meet at this price level, but this Alvarez Artist Series guitar features a great sounding hand sanded solid Sitka spruce top with gloss finish and scalloped bracing, and mahogany back & sides for a warm and pronounced acoustic sound that is impressive for such a reasonable cost.

The Alvarez Artist AD60CE also has elegant styling and features, such as nice multi-layer body bindings, rock solid dovetail body/neck joint, a modern and sleek neck profile for comfortable playing, super smooth 20 fret rosewood fingerboard, Alvarez bi-level rosewood bridge, abalone sound hole rosette, high quality chrome die-cast tuners and a black pickguard.

The B-Band Alvarez SYS650 is a dual pickup preamp system.  The patented electret under-saddle pickup yields a tone that is more "acoustic" than the typical Piezo pickup, and when blended with the soundboard transducer, excellent reproduction of the guitar's "voice" is achieved.  Either pickup can be used independently, or blended together.  This system also features a backlit LCD display, fully chromatic precision built-in tuner, 3-band rotary EQ and notch filter to handle feedback issues.
