Alvarez Artist Series models have hand selected tops that deliver consistently high quality with optimal tonal qualities.  These guitar tops are hand sanded, and have quartersawn braces which encourage more vibration to be distributed throughout the top and helps produce a bigger tone with good low end response.  Dovetail neck joints optimize the transfer of energy between the neck and body.  Alvarez's bi-level rosewood bridge also helps to transfer vibration to the top from the strings, improving tone and resonance.  Real bone nuts and saddles increase sustain and tone.  Premium die-cast tuning machines provide stability and reliability.  In line with more expensive guitars, mother of pearl and abalone inlays define the look of the Alvarez Artist Series guitars.

This Alvarez AF60 Artist series 6 string folk acoustic guitar features a great sounding folk style guitar body made with a hand selected, hand sanded solid A grade Sitka spruce top and mahogany back & sides, making this one of Alvarez's most popular Artist folk guitar models.
