The Epic Modular drum set shell is manufactured from 6 plies of high quality Birch which produces a powerful sound that is at home in high-volume situations.  Yet Epic’s shell vibrates at a more even rate, sculpting a rich, vibrant balance between subtlety and sonic punishment.

The Ludwig Epic Modular is most definitely a great drum kit for a very attractive price.  This drum outfit is perfect for all types of drummers at all experience levels.  Ludwig Epic Modular fits the bill, as its two 20” x 8" deep kick drums can either be connected together for one massive sound, or played separately as a double bass set. Arranging the included rack and floor toms in a myriad of patterns creates multiple creative set-ups for gigging drummers, or can be played as two separate kits for the interactive educator.  The mounted toms have Ludwig's exclusive "Vibraband" suspension mounts and all the drums have a high gloss lacquer finish.

The drum sizes are two 20" x 8" deep bass drums, 10" x 8" and 12" x 8" mounted toms, 14" x 12" and 16" x 12" floor toms, and a 13" X 6" deep snare.

The optional Ludwig L3HPACK 300 series double braced hardware pack includes one straight cymbal stand, one mini boom cymbal stand, snare stand, hi-hat stand and bass drum pedal.  The cymbals shown with the kits are not included.
