The Schecter Damien Elite-8 is a contoured top 8 string electric
guitar which has a Mahogany body (with Quilted Maple top for Crimson
Red finish) with gloss finish and multi-ply body edge bindings.
The bolt-on sturdy neck has extra graphite rods for stability, and
is an extended 26 1/2" scale Maple bolt-on type with 24 frets and
Abalone Gothic Cross inlays with Stained Cross at 12th Fret on a
solid Rosewood fingerboard. The neck has a modern and sleek
feel with a deep cutaway for easy access to the highest notes on the
neck.
The hardware is black chrome with deluxe Grover 18:1 heavy duty
die-cast tuning machines. The electronics are dual EMG active
808 8-string high output humbucker pickups which feature Alnico V
loaded wide aperture coils that beef up the Low F# tone, and at the
same time provide a more responsive super tight overall sound.
Controls include 1 Volume and 1 Tone control and a 3-way toggle
pickup selector switch. The Schecter CTM-8 bridge is fully
adjustable and very heavy duty construction. Also available
in a Floyd Rose model.
Left handed is available in Crimson Red finish for an additional
$50.00.
