The Washburn WD250SW is an all solid wood acoustic guitar whose tone will only improve with age. The
WD250SW combines a solid Sitka spruce top with all solid rosewood back and sides.
For the top soundboard on an acoustic guitar, the strong fundamental tone-to-overtone ratio gives Sitka spruce a powerful tone that will not have a problem retaining its clarity when played forcefully. Sitka
is a great choice of topwood for players whose style demands a wide and dynamic response, and a robust, meaty tone. For the sides and back of the guitar, the solid rosewood has strongly pronounced low overtone,
generating the lowest resonating frequencies in the entire guitar. These lows create a complex bottom end and also impart an overall darkness to the tone of the guitar. Strong mids and highs serve to
reinforce overtones generated by the top, contributing to a fatness of tone on the upper registers. Guitars with rosewood sides and back also have a strong, clear set of harmonics with a delayed onset and slow decay.
Features also include natural wood binding on body, bone nut & compensated saddle, great feeling Mahogany neck with 20 frets on a solid rosewood fingerboard and offset mother-of-pearl dot inlays,
